Fred Moore Day Nursery School has the capacity to serve up to 85 children aged six weeks to twelve years old. The program includes: full services childcare for infants through Pre-K children; an after school & homework program Monday through Friday; and a challenging summer camp experience for school-aged children up to 12 years old. FMDNS care hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parents must work a minimum of 30 hours per week, attend school, or do both. To provide affordable childcare, FMDNS’s fees are charged on a sliding scale based on annual family income and household size using federal government guidelines regarding low income families.

In order to help our children realize their full potential FMDNS focuses on the important lessons of self-worth, self-reliance, along with a well-rounded curriculum. The curriculum is a thematic play based curriculum using fine and gross motor skills, speech development, music, personal hygiene, manners, and other creative activities. During each day children participate in daily activities planned around a lesson plan based on a weekly theme. Each child is grouped according to age to ensure that activities are developmentally appropriate.

Our center is licensed and regulated by The Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and North Central Texas Child Care Services. We offer an opportunity for parents to receive education and support through a Parent Volunteer Program and Parent Support Group Meeting held quarterly at the center.
